Message from the Leadership Team

We give thanks for all those who have attended the church over the past 52 years. Many have been called home to glory. Their faithfulness has been rewarded. We also give thanks for all the ministers, deacons and visiting speakers who have cared for and taught the fellowship.

We appreciate the assistance, financial and otherwise, given by the Baptist Union through Home Mission funding. Their support helped to ensure that this fellowship was able to continue up to the early 1990’s when we became self supporting.

We would like to thank the other Baptist churches in the locality for their support especially Slough Baptist Church. Slough Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Clark helped establish the Britwell Baptist Church and provided members to half build the fellowship. The church became independent in 1982.

We would like to especially acknowledge the cooperation of Langley Free Church fellowship for allowing their Minister, Rev Simon King to be our moderator from 1997 to 2006.

We work together with other Churches in the community including St George’s Church of England, Church of God of Prophecy and St Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church. For several years we helped organise with other local churches a children’s holiday club. We are also involved in the organisation of Northborough & Britwell Carnival. We take part in a combined church choir and have a prayer tent for those members of the community who need prayer and/or counselling.

We also give thanks for the wisdom of the Baptist Union Corporation in purchasing this site in 1959 and constructing our church building.
